Class Schedule

Agility Classes:
New Monday Class! Beginner/ Intermediate @12:30, Advanced @1:30. Location: Moorpark. Call if interested: (805) 529-4452.

Tuesday and Thursday @ Freedom Park, 1PM, 2PM, 3PM & 4PM.
Cost is $15/dog/class, pay-as-you-go. Reservations are a must!

New Friday Class! Beginner/ Intermediate @5:30PM. Location: Moorpark. Call if interested: (805) 529-4452.

Saturday @ Las Colinas Middle School: Now with Longer Classes! Please Note Saturday Changes: Due to ever-increasing size of classes, we have decided to make each class approx 1 1⁄3 hours long, at a cost of $20/class (only $5 more for 20 minutes) for the first dog. Each additional dog run by the same person on the same day at a cost of $15; so people running one dog will pay $20, two dogs $35.

Times adjusted as follows:
8AM to 9:20AM - Beginner’s.
The old 9AM class is asked to arrive around 9:15AM (in case we finish early) and to begin walking the courses between 9:15 and 9:20. Everyone will get 2 runs per course plus an exercise or two.

9:20AM to11:00AM - Advanced/Intermediate. No Reservations Needed. Saturday Instructors: Margie, Walt, Kelly & Renee.

Obedience Classes:
Walt Hanlon offers Obedience Classes @$15/dog/class, pay-as-you-go, at the following locations and times:

Monday:5:30PM Beginner’s, 6:30PM Rally & Advanced -Three Springs Park at the Tennis Courts, off Triunfo and Three Springs Road. Instructors: Walt, Kelly and Renee.

Tuesday:5:30PM -Beginner’s @ Rancho Conejo Playfields -950 N Ventu Park Rd @ 101 Freeway, Newbury Park, CA. Instructors: Tony & Walt.

Thursday: 5PM Advanced & Rally, 6PM -Beginner’s @ Tierra Linda School Parking Lot, corner of Woodcreek and Fieldcrest, Mission Oaks part of Camarillo.

MACH Burst ADCH is my most successful Border Collie thus far.

Risk is AAD (Advanced agility dog in USDAA) and showing at the Excellent A level currently in AKC at age 2 1/2.

Kite

USDAA TITLES: AD, AAD, GM, SM, RM

Kite made it to Excellent and Masters but didn’t make it as far as Burst (too head strong!), but man was he flashy! He would either win in his time or blow up and all I could do was hang on for the ride.

Brite

Brite is a MAD (Master Agility Dog in USDAA working towards her ADCH). Brite and Risk are somewhere in between Burst and Kite both showing at the Excellent and Masters levels.

Cap was born 3-10-10 out of Flo by Kite.
Flo is a Mike O’Martian (Walt’s trainer) border collie from Oxford Border Collies.

Kelly VanArsdale is on her way to becoming the first soley Seaside Scrambler Student to participate in the AKC Invitational and soon to be rated in the Top 10 Bernese Mountain Dogs.

Renee Meriaux will also be the first Seaside Scrambler Student to participate this year with her Basenji, Aspen.

1st Place at AKC National Championships

Nancy Lewis of Ojai and her amazing poodle, Fraz, took 1st Place in Tulsa Ok at the AKC National Championships this past weekend in the 4″ Preferred Class.
